The Eagle and the Bear

This book is a memoir by Edward Safaian and as the author noted, he wrote the book because the experiences have stayed with him and helped him to understand his heritage and his time. This book is an informal account of visits made by the author to Armenia, starting from 1966. The book is not an expert guide to any aspect of Armenia or Soviet Union, it reflects the author's personal experiences and impressions of people living under a very different system.
