Sardarabad Bookstore

At Sardarabad Bookstore, we are dedicated to preserving and promoting Armenian literature and culture. Established in 1984 by a group of passionate young Armenians from the San Fernando Valley, our journey began with a mobile bookstore that catered to the community's needs after church services. This initiative was a response to the growing demand for Armenian literature, which has only intensified with the influx of new Armenian immigrants to Los Angeles.

Over the years, we have evolved from a Sunday-only operation to a full-fledged bookstore open six days a week, reflecting our commitment to serve the community. Our curated selection includes insightful literature that explores Armenian history and culture, featuring significant titles such as "1000 Hayazki Keneralner, Dzovagalner," which highlights the contributions of Armenian generals and admirals. We also offer thought-provoking works like Seta Dadoyan's "2015 The Armenian Condition in Hindsight and Foresight," which fosters critical discussions about the Armenian experience.

Today, Sardarabad Bookstore stands as a cultural hub, welcoming everyone interested in Armenian heritage. Our diverse inventory not only includes books but also trinkets and art that celebrate our rich history. We are proud to be a part of the community's growth and to contribute to the preservation of Armenian culture through literature and education.
