Samvel Hovhannisyan, an artist from Gyumri, is a natural romantic with a tremulous impressionist's brush. His early works illustrate the tenderness of everyday harmony. After the Sbidag Earthquake and the collision of the Soviet regime, he found himself far away from home - in the U.S.A. In his paintings the artist recreates the air, the earth, the trees, the tops and slopes of mountains.
